Year 2 2024-25
Welcome to Year 2! I am Mrs Spry. Year 2 is a really important year for really getting grips with some of the basics - such as learning our 2, 5 and 10 times tables and basic number facts, securing our punctuation in our writing and learning a range of spelling strategies. We want to encourage the children to become more independent readers and develop that love for reading - I love sharing some of my own favourite books with the class, such as 'Fantastic Mr Fox' and 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark'.
We have some amazing staff supporting us in class. Miss Begum works across the class supporting everyone. Miss Hughes, Miss Cross and Miss Summers all help at different times during the day and support individual children and small groups.
