A message to our wonderful children and families.

As a school we are devastated that we are being asked to close. For staff this is heart-breaking and however difficult the last few weeks have been, it is our children and families that have made it all bearable. We appreciate the impact this will have, not just on their education but on their social and emotional wellbeing and that of our own families.

I am so proud of how the children and all the staff have coped throughout this very difficult time.

We remain open for our most vulnerable pupils and for pupils where parents are key workers.  We do ask that other parents and children do not visit the school as we need to reduce numbers in school dramatically to stop the spread of the virus.  If you need to get in touch please use the dojo app or email me at head@edleston.cheshire.sch.uk

I shall miss you all and look forward to returning back to school as soon as possible.

Please take care and stay safe.

Welcome to Edleston Primary school website.  It has been my privilege to be the Headteacher here since 2004.

At Edleston we pride ourselves on the support and care we give our children; “The outstanding personal development and welfare of pupils lies at the heart of Edleston Primary School’s work.  Leaders and staff know the pupils very well.”  Ofsted May 2016.

We are a small, one form entry school.  We are known for our friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  Our children make good progress and learn well because they enjoy their lessons and they are exceptionally well supported by highly skilled staff.

Our curriculum concentrates on the key skills for literacy and numeracy alongside the remaining subjects in the National curriculum.  We also offer lots of extra curriculum activities, school trips, visitors to the school and special themed days and lunches. All curriculum information can be found in the class pages. Please pop into school if you would like to know more.

We work closely with parents to ensure that all our children reach their full potential and enjoy their time at primary school.  Parents are invited to family lunch days, after school activities such as bingo and special themed days such as art afternoons.

We welcome visits to the school.  If you would like to come and have a look and see Edleston in action, please do not hesitate to make an appointment.

I look forward to meeting you.

What's Happening

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well in these challenging times. At school we are busy preparing for opening on June 1st for our reception, Y1 and Y6 pupils. All the staff send their love and best wishes.
Remember that the staff are posting work every day on dojos and this week we have our special themed monsters week.
Sports day would have been on Thursday, so why not have your own competitions at home!
School is open for key workers children next Tuesday until Friday. Teachers will not be posting work next week though as it is half term.
Please email me at head@edleston.cheshire.sch.uk if you have any questions. We will be publishing information about how we will be running school as from June 1st and the procedures we will have in place to help keep our children and staff safe.
Take care everyone.
